| Notes on loss | At 15.59 hours on 11 Sep, 1943, the USS Rapidan (AO 18) in convoy NG-385 was damaged by a mine laid on 27 August by U-107 off Charleston. The mine detonated about 100 yards off the starboard quarter and the ship went to Charleston to be repaired. She returned to service on 25 September. | ||
