Notes on event | At 16.32 hours on 11 May 1944, U-9 fired a Gnat at a convoy consisting of a tanker, a torpedo boat, a minesweeper and seven smaller escorts covered by three MBR flying boats and observed a heavy detonation after 2 minutes 31 seconds. The Shtorm was damaged by the torpedo, but remained afloat and was towed into port. |
