Post-war: 1948 returned to the US Maritime Commission and laid up in Mobile as part of the reserve fleet. 1962 scrapped at Panama City, FL. | ||
Notes on event | At 20.04 hours on 21 December 1944 the Samtucky in convoy HX-327 was hit by a Gnat from U-806 off Nova Scotia. The badly damaged ship was beached near Halifax and later repaired for eight months. | ||
