| Notes on loss | At 23.03 hours on 8 Mar, 1943, the unescorted Leadgate (Master Ernest Hay Halliday), a straggler from convoy SC-121, was hit by one torpedo from U-642 and sank about 450 miles west of Rockall. The master, 25 crew members and four gunners were lost. | ||
