Notes on event | At 02.56 hours on 19 June 1940 the Baron Loudoun (Master Joseph Henderson Johnson) in convoy HG-34F was torpedoed and sunk by U-48 west-northwest of Cape Ortegal. Three crew members were lost. The master and 29 crew members were picked up by HMS Scarborough (L 25) (Cdr C.T. Addis, RN) and landed at Liverpool. | ||
