Notes on event | At 12.00 and 12.05 hours on 24 June 1941, U-203 attacked convoy OB-336 southeast of Cape Farewell and reported two ships sunk. In fact, only the Kinross (Master James Robson Reed) was hit and sunk. The master, 31 crew members and five gunners were picked up by HMCS Orillia (K 119) (T/LtCdr W.E.S. Briggs, RCNR) and landed at Reykjavik. | ||
