Notes on event

Between 21.27 and 21.28 hours on 28 July 1941, U-203 fired four G7e torpedoes on merchants and a destroyer in convoy OG-69 northwest of Cape Finisterre and had to dive after the attack. Mützelburg interpreted the heard detonations and sinking noises and reported three ships sunk and a destroyer probably damaged. In fact, only the Norita and Lapland were hit and sunk.
