Notes on event

At 21.12 hours on 10 August 1941 the Zhemchug (No 27) was hit by one torpedo from U-451 while on patrol duties between Cape Svyatoj Nos and Cape Kanin Nos. The U-boat observed how the ship sank immediately west of Kanin Nos and later saw debris and two survivors, but all hands were lost. Only a life buoy of the ship was found ashore some days later.
