| Notes on loss | At 02.30 hours on 10 Sep, 1941, U-432 fired four single torpedoes at three ships in convoy SC-42 south of Cape Farewell and heard two detonations. Schultze thought that he had hit two ships, but in fact only the Muneric (Master Frank Baker) was hit and sunk by two torpedoes. The master, 55 crew members, five gunners and two stowaways were lost. | ||
