| Notes on loss | At 12.50 hours on 21 Nov, 1939, the Les Barges II was stopped by U-41 and sunk with 6 rounds of gunfire after the crew abandoned ship. The survivors were picked up by a Spanish trawler and taken to Pesajes. That day, the U-boat stopped 17 other trawlers within six hours in the Bay of Biscay, but they all were neutral Spanish vessels. | ||
