| Notes on loss | At 20.12 hours on 9 May 1942, the unescorted Calgarolite (Master Thomas J. Mountain) was torpedoed and sunk by gunfire by U-125 about 50 miles southwest of Grand Cayman Island. The master and 21 crew members landed at Isla de Pinos, Cuba on 13 May. The chief officer and 22 crew members landed at Isla Mujeres, Mexico on 12 May. | ||
