| Notes on loss | At 16.55 hours on 19 Jul, 1942, the unescorted Leonidas M. was missed by U-332 with a torpedo. The U-boat began shelling the ship at 17.11 hours and missed at 17.25 hours with a second torpedo. The third torpedo fired at 17.42 hours hit and sank the ship. Two crew members were taken prisoner. | ||
