History Built as Canadian Hamiltonian for Canadian Interlake Line, Montreal PQ and 1913 transferred to Canada Steamship Lines Ltd, Montreal PQ. 1918 sold to Brazil and renamed Piave for Lloyd Nacional SA, Rio de Janeiro. 1923 sold to Cia. Unizo Combustiveis, Sao Paulo, but 1927 returned to Lloyd Nacional SA. 
Notes on loss At 22.30 hours on 28 Jul, 1942, the unescorted Piave (Master Renato Ferreira da Silva) was hit by one torpedo from U-155 about 100 miles off Barbados and sunk by gunfire. The master was the only casualty.
