| Notes on loss | At 10.08 hours on 6 Sep, 1942, U-375 stopped the Turkian with a shot across her bow 20 miles off Khan Yunis and sank the vessel after the crew abandoned ship at 10.22 hours with 13 rounds. The coastal artillery was firing one round every minute but could not reach the U-boat. | ||
