History Built as motor trawler RT-54 Sudak for Narodnyj Komissariat Rybnoj Promyshlennosti (NKRP). On 2 Dec, 1939, requistioned as armed trawler by the Northern Fleet and participated in the Winter war against Finland. On 29 Mar, 1940, disarmed and returned to owner. On 25 Jun, 1941, requisitioned again, converted to the A/S trawler Musson (No 23) (armed with two 45 mm guns and two 7.62 mm machine guns) and assigned to the Northern Fleet on 2 July. 
Notes on loss On 11 Oct, 1942, the Musson (No 23) struck a mine laid on 28 August by U-589 and sank in five minutes about 5 miles from Chernyj Kamen´ Island. The vessel was on patrol duties since 6 October near the western entrance of the Matochkin Strait.
