| Notes on loss | At 00.16 hours on 7 Nov, 1942, the unescorted Ocean Justice (Master William Venables) was torpedoed and sunk by U-505 east of Trinidad. The master, 44 crew members, nine gunners and two survivors from the Belgian Fighter, which had been sunk on 9 October by U-68 (Merten), were picked up by British motor torpedo boats and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad. | ||
