| Notes on loss | At 23.46 hours on 17 Nov, 1942, U-184 fired three single torpedoes at three ships in convoy ONS-144 about 500 miles southeast of Cape Farewell and reported one ship sunk and two probably sunk. However, only Widestone (Master William Storm) was hit and sank at this time. The master, 34 crew members and seven gunners were lost. | ||
