Notes on loss

At 21.55 hours on 8 Mar, 1943, the Empire Lakeland (Master Frederick John Gudgin), a straggler from convoy SC-121, was sunk by two torpedoes from U-190 northwest of Rockall. The master, 55 crew members and eight gunners were lost.
