| Notes on loss | At 14.14 hours on 24 Apr, 1945, the unescorted Monmouth Coast (Master Albert Henry Standen) was torpedoed and sunk by U-1305 about 80 miles from Sligo. The master, 13 crew members and two gunners were lost. The sole survivor, messroom boy Derek Cragg, was rescued by Irish fishermen. | ||
