Rainer and Joe,
You guys are going to think all I do is stare at my screensaver, but I noticed that this particular Type VII has perferations, like limber holes, toward the abaft end of her keel. Was this done for the purpose of compensating for the additional weight of the heavier pressure hull? Or did they serve some purpose in diving dynamics?
