The battle | Three U-boats on patrol near the Hebrides attacked the convoys HX-65 & HX-65A on August 24 and 25, 1940 and sank 6 ships for a total of 37,284 tons. 12 German aircraft from the Luftwaffe (4 He-115 & 8 Ju-88) also attacked one day later the convoy and sunk 2 further ships with 16,472 tons. |
