Hi Yall:
I need to know what the German word “Typhone†means. In the books Vom
Original zum Modell: Uboottyp VII C page 19, upper right and in Vom
Original zum Modell: Uboottyp IX C page 21, upper right, there are
two holes in the front of the conning tower, below the wave breaker.
The text called these devices TYPHONE. I believe them to be sirens or
horns, but I’m not sure. Does anyone know what these holes were far?
Good Luck and Good Hunting,
Jerry Pope
