Position of the hatch on Revell U-99

Hi,
I was wondering if the position (actually more like the way it supposed to open, from left to right) of the main hatch on the Revell U-99 is a good representation or it is false. I'm asking this because I'm trying to scratchbuild the interior of the bridge and the position of the DFaerial housing seems to block the way where the hatch should open. I have a couple of pictures of the bridge taken form behind but we cannot see the hatch because the attack periscope housing is blocking the view. From my point of view, the hatch open from toward the front of the bridge.
Can someone help me on this one?
Thanks
