Dear Marc,

You're looking at the "Bold" ejecter apparatus. It was used for ejecting a cannister with chemicals that reacted with salt water, creating a big screen of bubbles. The echo of these bubbles resembled a U-boat. In the mean time the real U-boat was supposed to escape the atacker.

To my knowledge these are the best detailed plans for a type VII. You should also order the book " Vom Orginal Zum Modell
Uboottyp VII-c" from Fritz Kohl and Axle Niestle from the same site.
