Sorry to reply to my own message, but I think I've spotted something!

I looked at the third picture of the U-260 on the website here ( [www.iol.ie] ) which shows the 'square' Conning Tower and the 3 guns ( 2 AA guns on a higher platform and 1 bigger gun on a lower platform - but not on the deck itself ).

Then I looked at the Revell Type VII C/41 model ( see page page of the Instructions here : [manuals.hobbico.com] ) and it looks very, very similar.

So, could the U-260 have been a Type VII C/41? It's listed every where as just a Type VII C, but maybe it was a /41?

Hope I'm not asking stupid questions here, I'm clearly not any kind of an expert on U-boats. Thanks!
