I think, that it is unlikely, that the gun mounting location was
changed - it would led to change of the center of gravity of the boat
(relatively large weight of the gun fundament, mounting and gun itself),
and consequently to change of the trim characteristics.

But is is my personal opinion and I have no data to support it.
