Das Boot - The Book

This comment is a bit of a hybrid: a bit book review and a bit technology oriented.

I am in the middle of reading the book upon which Das Boot was based ("U-Boat"). For the information of those of you who are, like me, not up to the expert level on the nuts and bolts of German submarines and related technology, "U-Boat" has some very interesting and detailed descriptions on how things work. It is also an entertaining read.
