I think your analysis is a good summary of where this thread ended up:
The Amati model is not an accurate representation of U-47.
Now I have another question: Was it likely that a ventilation upgrade was
made without the enlargement of the wintergarten at the same time? I have
an Amati kit with the upgraded central duct, but not the round wintergarten.
Joe, you got any pictures of a VIIb be with modified central duct work and NO
change to the original wintergarten? I will ship you a gift certificate for
a case of Beck's Beer if you can document this. I will then name may model
after that u-boat. Give me the year too, so I can be accurate.
