Hello Jeff and Antonio,
I found the answer on page 15 of F.Koehl/Niestle\'s \"Vom Original zum...\", Translating comments to top photo left:
\"Bow shot of U559 on slipway 3 at Blohm&Voss prior to launching......On stem between the the closed fairing lids of the torp tubes is the base of the \'Nah-S-Geraet\' (Close in-Search-Apparatus) with the protruding deflector hoops. This unit intended for the detection of mines turned out to be ineffective, therefore, the removal was ordered 4/24/42.\"
Shows you search long enough and ye will find. Cheers, RB

I have other question for you.

In the book \"U.BOATS in camera\" by Mallmann Showell, page 39, there is
a photo of U-703 from U-Boot-archive Germany.
The U-Boat is at a floating drydock, and in his bow can clearly be seen another
\'Nah-S-Geraet\'

My question is:
Is it possible that another U-Boat had the same device?

Best Regards
