Thanks Kurt. That really did help. Its kinda strange to think that a country(Germany) that had a head start in Submarine technology didn\'t have reliable torpedoes when the war started.
I guess initially they more or less succeeded in terrorizin the brits because they hunted the convoys in wolfpacks rather than lone wolves. I suppose in the end when things were perfected and modernized, it was too late for anything. The same was the case with the Me262 jets.
