Hello Clint,
I have the book Black May from M.Gannon. The problem is that on page 69 it says that\"in June 1943 the DC settings were readjusted from 550 to 750 feet\" ,but on the same book, on page 207(paperback ed.), it narrates the attack of the British corvette Pink against a german submarine on MAY 5th 1943 with DC fused for 700 feet!. So, my doubts remain about the exact time of change of the maximum DC settings. Perhaps it was many months before even May´43, because after the capture of the U-570 the British augmented the maximum settings, and the capture of the sub was in August of 1941! The mystery remains!
