Ken, Thanks for all that good info..... The answer to this question has to be out and about. These guns did get wet in crash dive and did get put back into operation.....

This is like the question I had asked about scuttleing charges on type VII and IX boats. NOt much info about how this worked the locations and who could activate the charges.....
