Torpedo Adjustments

I have been reading the book "U-Boat Far From Home" and in one chapter they are getting ready to attack a ship. They talk about making final adjustments and ordering corrections in course and speed etc. at the fire control computer and this raised a question that I had never thought about.

How does the information from the fire control computer get inside of the torpedo when it is sitting inside the tube? Is a cable attached?
