Hi Kevin,
I have been around compasses for longer than I care to remember. First time I heard of a geometric compass. What is it? Could you possibly refer to a magnetic compass?
At any rate, the company Anschuetz is still in business. Write to them - they will probably be able to tell you by the number to which ship this instrument belonged to. Rgds, RB
