The truck tires are filled with urethane foam, making them rigid.

Diring a labor strike at the Newport News Shipbuilding Co, rank and file members of the steel-worker's union fabricated "multi-spike" devices and planted them near the
Plant Fire Station and the Plant Protecton Office, to disable their vehicles. All the
tired wheels were subsequently removed and taken to a FIRESTONE facility and
'Inflated" with urethane foam. They were heavy as hell, but they thwarted all future
attempts by the strikers. They rode like wooden wheels, with no cushioning effect.

This should clear up the tire problem.
