Among the items of U-234's cargo were infra-red proximity switches that were undoubtedly used to detonate the first plutonium bomb at the Trinity Test at Los
Alamos. Go to the following websites forr related informationon the first Atomic Bomb's development. The Uranium Oxide was evidently used to help make plutonium at the Hanford plant in Washington state.
