The times of ascent are not available from the book. I merely quoted what I read, sorry. As J.T. said "Microsecond?" His calculation is certainly more descriptive.

While serving in USS VON STEUBEN (SSBN-632) the boat performed an "Emergency Blow" maneuver from 400' using a 15-second Main Ballast blow at 4500 psi. The boat ascended on a near even keel at the rate of 15-feet/second. Do the math, to arrive at a time from start to finish, if you will.
