Dear Robert,

No such devices on german WW II subs. Draeger appartus would be used to escape from a sunken sub via escape hatches after the compartiments were flooded to equalize pressure. The use of the apparatus is covered more than once on this forum so try the searchengine. Depths over 80 meters with this apparatus would be deadley and there would be hardly any or no survivors.
