The 1940 version is 235 X 300 mm and my 1969 version is 210 x 298 mm . 1940 version published by Kried. Krupp Germaniawerft Aktiengesellschaft , Kiel and the 1969 version is published by J.F. Lehmanns Verlag Munchen . Both have 103 numbered pages but the 1940 version has all 3 large pull out pages in the rear of the book and the 1969 version the pull outs are divided into 3 different areas of the book . The 1940 version has a black cloth spine and an interesting textured grey/green heavy paper cover the 1969 version has no cloth spine and a different texture and color paper cover . You would have to be blind to be fooled into buying the 1969 version as an original war time version even if someone was to remove the real date from the book . The original will always be worth more and is a sought after book by collectors , the 1969 just another knock off / reproduction .
