Hi, and thanks so much for the answers. Yes I have obtained more info.
Firstly the destroyer obtained an R.D.F. contact at a range of 2500 yards, after this at a range of 1600 yards an asdic contact was obtained and then the uboat was sighted on the surface, according to the ships log she appeared to have stopped.
