On 5 September 1942 U513 attacked SS Saganaga at BEll Island, Newfoundland. After two torpedoes were fired it was reported in the KTG, war dairy of U513, that the run was not heard. No explosion nothing! The two torpedoes may well still be on the sea floor. Maybe they were never charged properly?
