As far as I know, the torpedoes were manufactured at the Deutsche
Werke Friedrichsort in Kiel, Planeta Druckmaschinenwerke in Dresden,
Auto-Union A.G. in Zwiekau, Borgward Werke in Bremen and J.Pintsch K.G. in
Berlin. I think, that they were produced by german workers as well as by
forced labours from the occupied territories, so there were possibility
of the sabotage.

Back to the U-513 attack, there are very little informations, but it seems,
that after launch, the electric motor did not start working. It could be
caused i.a. by the mechanical failure of the starting gear, inproper maintaince,
sabotage in electric circuits or incorrectly loaded torpedo.
