<HTML>I am at present tracing my family history and am looking for any information on the action of this vessel in the sinking of U-boat 1024 on the 12th April 1945 as my uncle,Able seaman William Alfred Oliver was decorated with the DSM FOR "Courage,Skill and devotion to duty" from the letter sent to him by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty in Sept 1945.I would like to know what part he played to receive this award, the medal is now at the submarine museum in Gosport. He was unfortunatly killed on the submarine HMS Truculent which was in a collision with a Swedish merchant ship off the Thames estuary in 1950.</HTML>
