Just gone back to the site (after nearly a year) & seen your messages. We will organise a copy of the blow-up photo Christine organised (Bert's daughter). We have a feeling it may have been taken after your Dad's time on the ship as we are unsure when Bert joined it.

As far as we know Bert was on the Ship for the D-Day landings and thought it was damaged or sunk there.

Even if your dad is not there on the photo i'm sure it will be worth having as he was there for an important part of his life. Bert was a fine fella as i'm sure your dad was, they were part of a special breed.

I would be grateful if you could organise 2 good quality prints of your oil painting.Let me know the cost before you commit & I will send you a chegue.My e-mail address is geoff.lofthouse@heyrod.co.uk
