Anyone know anything about the DD(X) "Littoral Combat Ship?"

As per the heading, can anyone give me any skinny on the Navy's DD(X) Destroyer, or "Littoral Combat Ship?" I understand Congress just grudgingly approved funding for two or three of them. Anyway, I assume (from the name, obviously) that this is a destroyer designed specifically for ASW in shallow coastal waters?

Anyone?
