Hi,
I'm a french woman searching for information about my father. He was a Free French during WW2. Fortunately, I found an old friend of him, who gave me his "diary". My father was in Campain of Italy. Then, on 10 august 44, he boarded on a "boat" to reach french coast at St Tropez; (Landing in Provence). On the dairy, I can read: "We are on a boat with english crew. Its name is "Fort bembina T 17" (or something like that, the writing is not good...)
They leave Tarente (Italy) on 10 aug, cruising to Sicilia, Bizerte, and then to the North, in the direction of France".
They landed on 16 aug 44 in front of St Tropez.
DO YOU KNOW this "boat" ?
Please ! I need all kind of information about this boat, even little ones....
THANK YOU !
You can visit my website about "my father, a Free French", [perso.wanadoo.fr]
In english !
