Thanks Rob for the info re Peisander. My dad died 28 years ago so maybe my memory of what he said is flawed ?

I know that he was on Royal Tiger when it escaped Singapore ahead of the Japanese conquest there. Maybe that was the tanker he mentioned ?

I do recall he told me they left Venezuela on Peisander. Two weeks in a swamped lifeboat before they came ashore at N.Carolina.
