Mates,
Can you help with details of this officer Lt Geoffrey Richard Purcell-Gilpin DSC RNVR.
I did a check on the net and found his name amoung the ten survivors from 131 crew from the HMS Louvain which was sunk by UC 22 somewhere in the Aegean.
She I beleive was an Armed Broading steamer converted by the RN in the Med.
Do you know anything about this sinking and if this is the reason for the award of the DSC to Lt Purcell-Gilpin.
Any insight would help
