I was interested to see the above forum. My Grandfather, Clarence Clifford, survived the sinking and was rescued by HMS Pelourus after 10 hrs at Sea, he was a very good swimmer!. I found an old photo on Sunday night (23rd November) of my grandmother Ellen Vince, on the back of the photo was written 'this picture of Grandma was in my pocket the night I was torpedoed Jan 20th 1918, my grandfather went on to serve on a water lighter around the greek islands and I have some very old grainy photos of this. He died in 1972 and my Grandmother died in 1994. I will ask my dad if he can shed any more light on this matter.
