Do you speake German? There are a nother book about von Trapp: Bis zum letzten Flaggenschuss. This book is Trapp`s memorandum.

I know only few things about U-5 (SM means: His Majesty`s). U-5 was a little uboat, the ventilation vas verry poor, they could be only little time under the water, because they would choke from the smog.
On 16th of May in 1917 they were returning to Pola. they had exploded on one Italian mine in the Chanel of Fasana. 6 persons died, 17 was saved. On 24th of May in 1917 the navy has floated the uboat. On 22nd of February in 1918 the uboat was working again. U-5 became a "school uboat". The Students of the Navy Academy were using it.
